Nevada Birth Records: Discover Your Loved One's True Identity

Birth records are considered part of a state and local government's vital records database, stored for the public to freely examine and use for their own research and information. These records often include copies of official birth certificates, which will provide you with the following information:

  • Date and place of birth
  • Full birth name
  • Full names of parents and their personal identifying information

Search Nevada Birth Records at SearchBirthRecord.com

Nevada did not perform its statewide vital recording of significant events, such as births, until the year 1911. Prior records are available, though fragmented and incomplete, and are found in the Recorder's office of the county where the birth occurred. Births records after July 1911 are found in the Office of Vital Records and Statistics of the State of Nevada Health Division Bureau of Health Planning and Statistics. However, these documents are restricted and are not considered as public records. Thus, before you start processing your request, you should first be qualified to do so, that is your name should appear on the certificate or you must be an immediate family member or a legal representative with a court order. Next, you must submit a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver's license, State-issued Identification card or Military identification, along with the non-refundable standard fee of $13, which you may pay via money order or personal check made payable to the Office of Vital Records and Statistics. Aside from personally visiting the Office of Vital Records, you may also avail of their mailing service. Meanwhile, you may also process your documents online for a more convenient and faster transaction. You may pay via your credit card with the required additional handling fees.
